Here we go again. Another website to help burn through the boring portion of your workday or to fill some of your evening couch time. It’s called BroTips.com and it will set your life right – or at least add a little brevity and humor to it.
BroTips is a rather simple concept. At the home screen you can scroll horizontally through the most recent or most popular BroTips. Each BroTip is limited to 140 characters just like Twitter. A site visitor can easily share a BroTip using the standard share buttons, or they can download to their hard drive.
If you’re really full of yourself you can submit a BroTip of your own. Now here’s the interesting part. Not all submissions are accepted, which to me is counter-intuitive to the general openness offered by most social media platforms.
At the BroTip submission screen you input your text for the BroTip, fill in your name and couple of other items, and submit. Your BroTip submission then goes to a review board which we’re guessing is a cluster of comp-sci grads who consider themselves bros and will decree whether your BroTip submission is worthy of display on BroTips.com.
This morning I submitted a BroTip – “Bros come and go, but family is forever.”
Now I will sit here all day long anxiously wondering if I am Bro-worthy. The anticipation will undoubtedly interfere with my concentration, upset my chi, and make me question my existence in the nether-world of social acceptance.
Below is our favorite BroTip to date…
